Are you looking for Stay-at-Home Date Night Ideas? Today, I’m sharing 5 Stay-at-Home Date Night Ideas that my husband and I have done and love.
I believe that it is highly important to continue to date our spouses on a regular basis. However, finding babysitters and getting out regularly have proved challenging for us over the years. So what’s a couple to do? Well, we’ve implemented Stay-at-Home Date Night! Every Saturday Night is Date Night at our house. We protect this time fairly heavily as my husband works most other evenings and we really need the time to re-connect. More recently, we’ve been taking turns for the planning. I plan for 1 month and then my husband plans the next month. That way, we always know that something will get planned, yet one or the other doesn’t have to plan it every time.
5 Stay-at-Home Date Night Ideas
#1: A Board Game Tournament
-We’ve played Yahtzee (it could be done with any game really) for a month at a time, kept track of the score, and kept playing every week. It’s fun to see who wins!
#2: Read a Book Together
-We pick a book that will help teach us something and we take turns reading it to one another each week until it is done. Bonus points if it’s a marriage book. We generally read a chapter or two and then spend some time discussing what we got out of what we read. I find that his perspective is often so different from mine and it helps me to learn things I generally wouldn’t.
#3: Plan Together
-We often spend time planning to be intentional. Whether we plan the following month, talk about how we are going to create a family mission statement, or talk about our will, planning together keeps us on the same page.
#4: Play “Would Rather?”
-This game is hilarious! Basically, you are given two questions, which are usually completely ridiculous and you get to pick the answer that YOU feel is the lesser of the two evils. You can find lists to print all over the internet but here’s one I found:

#5: Give or receive a Massage
-Personally, I LOVE my massages. My husband is tremendously good to me and gives me many massages. Once in a while, though, I do like to return the favor and give him a massage as well.
