The following is a lovely poem written by my mother-in-law, Gisela Sauereisen and used with her permission.
Love so Divine
Tears are running down my face
life is not worth living
but then a voice is calling me
He even knew my name
“Dear Child,” He says,
“you are not alone,
lay down your life into my hand
and the sun will shine for you again.”
Rock of salvation, love so divine
you paid the price for me, it changed my life
Now I am forgiven
you are my rock and my salvation
you are my anchor in the fiercest storms
nothing stands against your mighty power
let us give glory to the Lord of Lords
And today I dance, and today I sing,
today I shout to the Lord
He saved my life, He set me free
and free I am indeed
No more I have these deep dark thoughts
no more I feel alone
I know I am covered by His love
-a love that is so divine
Rock of salvation, love so divine
you paid the price for me, it changed my life
and today I dance, and today I sing,
today I shout to the Lord
He saved my life, He set me free
and free I am indeed.
